The 2023 IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Summer School and Summit Forum was successfully held from August 24th to 27th at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in Shenzhen. The conference took place over four days and featured lectures by 16 distinguished luminaries in the field of Computational Intelligence.

 

Professor Kay Chen Tan, IEEE Fellow and Vice President of IEEE CIS, shared his latest research and experiences through lectures, inspiring attendees to engage in thoughtful discussions. Prof. Tan gave a speech about "Towards Next-Generation Evolutionary Computation: Some Reflections". This talk presents our reflections of promising research pathways towards next-generation evolutionary computation, including algorithm design, practical application, and computation platform.
